Its historical significance dates back to 1904, when Lady Curzon, wife of the Viceroy Lord Curzon, visited the region. Distressed by the near extinction of rhinos, she urged her husband to create a safe haven for the wild animals, leading to the formal establishment of the park in 1905.
Spanning over 1,06,300 acres, Kaziranga is renowned for its rich ecosystems and natural beauty. Visa‑on‑Arrival (VoA) is available for UAE Nationals at nine major Indian airports (including New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi, Calicut, Ahmedabad) for UAE passport holders who have previously obtained an Indian visa (e‑Visa or regular visa). The VoA can be used for tourism, business, conferences, or medical purposes and is usually valid for up to 60 days with double entry.
For first‑time visitors: UAE nationals who have never before held an Indian visa will need to apply for an e‑Visa or regular visa in advance rather than rely on VoA. UAE residents can avail an e-Visa.

Jeep Safari
There are different ways to explore the wildlife in Kaziranga and the jeepsafari is one of the most enjoyable ones. It lets you explore the deep interiors of the forest with an up-close view of the animals.
There are three Safari regions on Kaziranga National Park namely- The eastern zone also known as Agartoli, The western zone also known as Bagori, and The central zone also known as Kohora.Jeep Safaris are conducted twice a day, from 6.30 till 10 am and from 2 pm.
Unlike most of the famous National Park, you cannot go for a day-long elephant safari, there are designated slot to do so. It is advisable to stay near the central zone as it is easier to access every amenity from there.
Elephant Safari
Another way of exploring the lush green beauty of Kaziranga is on an elephant. Elephant safaris are mostly driven from the western zone (Bagori) and the central zones (Kohora). The elephant safari at the central zones (Kohora) is run by government forest employees.
These safaris are much in demand and are served on a first-come-first-serve basis, so make sure you are early at the counter when it opens at 6am. The safari continues for one or half hours, where you can spot wide varieties of wildlife in the area covered by the elephant grass and can be best viewed from the elephant’s back.
On your elephant safari tour, you can spot Indian elephants and one-horned rhinoceros. The safari covers the area of Hole path, Kohora Central Path, Arimarah, and Baguri. The safarisin the western zoneare privately owned and are easy to access.

Boat Safari
The Kaziranga National Park marked by the River Brahmaputra on the northern border, makes it accessible on a boat. The boat safari is available only in the eastern zone, also known as Agartoli.
This region is not frequented by tourists which often makes it peaceful. The boat safari has everything that a wildlife enthusiast craves to see, from exquisite birds to majestic wildlife.
The best part of going on a boat safari is that you will get to see the dolphins in their natural habitat. The boat safari at Kaziranga will let you explore the interior parts of Kaziranga.
You may come across a varied range of animals and birds that comes to quench their thirst.
The three safari zones of Kaziranga let you explore the rich biodiversity of the region. In the Eastern Zone/Agartoli, you will find rhinos, tigers, deer, wild buffalo, a variety of birds and tortoises. Due to the vast marshlands, Kaziranga supports a wide range of existence of different wildlife and mammals.
Over 500 species of birds can also be found here. Other animals that you can spot in Kaziranga are macaques, bison, sloth bear, gibbons, antelopes, Indian civet, Chinese ferret badger, Indian porcupine, Himalayan mole, and Indian mongoose,etc.The tiger population is higher than any other National Park in India.
Kaziranga is also home to some of the endangered species of birds. Some of them are– ruddy shelduck, spotted owlet, spot-billed ducks, grey-headed fishing eagle, black-headed ibis, greenshank, bar-headed geese, lesser whistling duck, brown fish owl, bronzed winged jacana, and greater cormorant, etc.
Kaziranga National Park is not accessible throughout the year. The best time to visit is from November to April. It is not advisable to visit Kaziranga from July to September as monsoon sprung in full swing during this time and the floodwater overflows to the park.
We suggest you visit during April as this is the month of Bihu. Visiting Assam during Bihu will give an extra flavour of the beauty of Assamese culture and tradition.

Day 1
The nearest Airport to Kaziranga National Park is Lokopriyo Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati. Upon landing at Guwahati Airport, our guidewill receive you and accompany you to your hotel. On your Day-1, you will stay in Guwahati.
After your lunch, visit the Navagraha Temple, a hilltop temple from where you can have a marvelous view of the entire city. Give yourself a treat and sip a cup of traditional Assam Tea and add a dash of freshness to your Kaziranga Trip. Head back to your hotel early and take some rest as the next day is going to be hectic.
Day 2
On day two of your Kaziranga National Park tour package, you will start your journey to Kaziranga National Park. It is a decent 4-5 hours ride from Guwahati. After check in to your resorts, you will be having a delicious Assamese lunch. Post lunch, you will head back to the evening Jungle Safari, which will last till 5 pm.
Day 3
Day 3 of your Kaziranga National Park tour package will start early as you will be going out for Boat Safari. Have a magnificent and unfiltered view of the birds and animals in their natural habitat. After lunch, explore the paradise of wildlife on an elephant's back.
The elephant safari will give you a vivid tour of the national park minutely. In the evening, enjoy the beauty of Assamese culture with some Assam tea and Bihu Dance.
Day 4
Take a tour of the local markets in the morning. Buy some tea leaves, world-famous Assam Muga silk sarees, Assamese gamusa, and rhino miniature as a memory of Assam. After lunch, it's time to travel to your next destination, Jorhat.
Explore the beautiful tea plantations of Upper Assam on your way to Jorhat. It will be almost a 4-hour ride to Jorhat from Kaziranga, so you will be staying there overnight.
Day 5
Get ready to witness the largest river island in the world on a boat. Visit the Vaishnavite Monasteries known as satras and learn about the heritage, local literature, artifacts, and history of the Assamese culture.
Famous satras that you can visit include Kalambari satra, Garamur, Auniati satra, Dakshinpat satra, and Samaguri satra. The 'Paalnaam' of Anuiati satra and Mask making of Samaguri Satra is world-famous for preserving the rich heritage and lost artifacts.
Return to your hotel in the evening for some rest and enjoy the delicious Assamese dishes for your dinner.
Day 6
Head towards the Rowriah Airport, Jorhat which is well connected to Kolkata and Guwahati, and bid goodbye to the beautiful Assam and its lush green natural beauty.
